How to heal your body and free your mind from life's troubles through Himalayan Heart Yoga
Turkey
October 25–31, 2026
Himalayan Heart Yoga is a practice that came to Tibet more than 1000 years ago
"
Heart Yoga is not stretching, but a way to bring peace back to the soul
about the retreat
this is a path where the physical heart becomes healthy, and the inner one — soft and open
and the meditation of kindness and compassion from the tradition of Je Tsongkapa
the inner work of the heart — the practice of tonglen («giving and taking») from the lineage of Atisha
it unites three aspects:
asanas and breath from the lineage of Naropa
(the six yogas)
here it does not matter how flexible you are — what matters is how open you are
wants to understand the essence of yoga more deeply, without religious rituals
is ready to open the heart and bring back inspiration
is looking for a practice that heals body and mind at once
wants to restore their energy
feels tired, anxious and inwardly overloaded
for those who:

will help
this retreat

Teresa Pierosanto
Teresa began practising yoga in the Iyengar method at the age of 25, taking various courses in Argentina and Chile with Ramanand Patel. Two years later she moved to the United States, where she settled in Miami and got to know other, more dynamic methods of yoga. There she alternated these practices with prenatal yoga during three pregnancies.

Back in Argentina, she encountered the Ashtanga yoga method. In 2007 she completed a teacher training course with Manju Jois in Chile, and in 2008 a course with Tim Miller, and practised with Kino MacGregor in Miami.

In 2009 she received her Ashtanga yoga teacher certificate from «Ashtangabaires, Argentina», and also travelled to Chicago to train teachers with Richard. Later, in 2010, she began studying ancient Asian philosophy and meditation with Michael Roach and attended many courses and retreats with him.

In 2016 she studied children's yoga. She has also studied transcendental meditation and pranic healing. She currently teaches various kinds of yoga, including Ashtanga, Yoga Flow, Vinyasa and Niguma.

Benjamin Bridges
Benji is a self-taught student of various traditions, living the teachings in the real world to cultivate wisdom and a deep love of life. Using a yogic way of life and knowledge of design, he has created farms for communities, to bring abundance to others and to his own family homestead. Years of practice and of keeping codes of conduct allowed him to specialise in behavioural therapy with at-risk youth.

His initial path into yoga was through the way of suffering. He came to this practice to free his body from the agonising physical pain that had haunted him for many years. Fortunately, he sought and found teachers who helped him begin the process of understanding the roots of his discomfort. When, three years ago, he took up a daily practice of the Lady Niguma series, he discovered the strength within himself for the first time in his life.

As a yoga teacher, he strives to help his students build a relationship with their subtle inner world. When he is not on the mat, his hands are in the earth, growing edible and medicinal plants, or actively creating a new world through the principles of permaculture.

Karina Askerova
Karina began practising yoga and meditation more than 10 years ago. After recovering from a head injury through yoga, she deepened her education as a YSI student, completed yoga teacher training and studied Buddhist philosophy at ACI.

She also holds a master's degree in business administration and marketing, with a solid corporate career behind her.

In 2019 she founded a yoga studio in Kazakhstan and now supports YSI with marketing and managing the distributors of courses and retreats — making the impossible possible through yoga!

YSI believe that this information must be integrated through years of practice and meditative contemplation. Many of the instructors have completed more than 1000 days of silent meditation retreat, practising yoga and synthesising this knowledge into practical wisdom
A direct line of transmission of authentic wisdom is very important.
YSI draw their material from more than 2 million pages of classical Asian texts, which have been preserved and digitised by our partners at the Asian Legacy Library (ALL). Together, the teams have carried out the painstaking work of translating, understanding and applying the original yogic texts, to share them with you in the clearest and most practical form.
YSI teach yoga differently. When a practice is grounded in authentic yogic wisdom, it simply feels different.
